Hmm, well I went to change this setting later last night but iPlayer appeared to be playing without rebuffering so I did not change it. I will try changing it next time I have problems with the service so I can tell if it does make a difference.
You don't have any theories or suspicions of what my problem might be (however tenuous)? It seems to me that if the plugin is very simple then by a process of deduction and by using the findings I posted above only SlimCenter is left as a possible culprit. Thanks, again.
