Well, my actual question was how can I tell what version's actually installed in FreeNAS*, but that's a fair enough point. * Fwiw, I still think it would be useful to have a readme (or similar) in the slimnas.tgz archive saying what version it is. In any event, I am very grateful for your help, and want to thank you for developing SlimNAS.
