Apologies in advance for tghe brief reply. Have you tried Michael Herger's Music Info Screensaver? Coupled with Erland's TitleSwitcher, it could help you fix not only the playlist/screensaver problem, but make better use of the screen space.
Long press going to Date and Time: maybe the contextmenu activate screensaver should go to the first active saver?
