Ugh. You'll see that sort of behavior when a plugin has code that crashes when attempting to handle a web request. Normally SqueezeCenter will log a helpful error message in the server log when that happens. Would you mind trying again and letting me know what turns up in the log? Do you have a folder in your playlists folder named PlayLogSongLogs?
