Me too.  I like being on the bleeding edge and update daily, but there doesn't 
appear to be too much incentive to upgrade to SC8, so I would probably stay 
with SC7.4 (provided that continues to support MySQL), until most functionality 
is restored in some form in that release.

SC8 could be to Logitech what Vista is to Microsoft.  Slow, buggy, with reduced 
functionality.

A lower memory footprint and ease of installation are two things that I would 
not benefit from, if there is a trade off with reduced functionality, changes 
to functionality without option to persist current functionality which is 
better, and performance degrade.

Of course, if some killer new functionality were to appear in the plan for SC8, 
I may re-assess.
