If you saw squeezeslave listed in squeezecenter then it was most likely working!
Did you try playing music? If you wanted to use one of your additional audio devices, say bluetooth, you'll need to specify -o2 before the ip address. I'd also recommend adding -r10 to tell SS to retry connecting to SC every 10 seconds if it looses connection to the server, otherwise SS will exit if you restart SC. squeezeslave -r10 -o2 10.0.0.20 SS does not handle ip:port addresses, only ip addresses. squeezeslave -h will list all startup options and there's the 'wiki' (http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/SqueezeSlave) page. SS does not run in the background you'll need to just minimize the cmd windows or follow 'this' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=412012) howto.
