BGU,
I think there are two issues here but they could be related.

1. Network speed drops from 270 to 15Mbps
2. Stops, skips and buffering.

The results are interesting but unfortunately do not provide nay
insight into the problem.

Test 2 & 3 are basically the same test just using Recorder or wavin2cmd
to copy audio data to a file. If there was a difference in the network
speeds then wavin2cmd.exe could be blamed. Since both tests have the
same result all that can be said is that capturing audio while running
SC seems to affect Network performance.
To see if SC has any affect on the problem - you could run the
"Recorder" test with a Browser playing a network radio station and
without SC running and check to see if network speeds changes between
Recorder running or not.

Even though network goes down to 15Mbps - this is still lots of
capacity for SC - so there must be another reason for the skips -
excessive CPU usage is one possibility.

I have two theories
1. Security software - it is checking all "network" activity and the
audio capture will look like network traffic and so it is slowing whole
system down. The test is to disable all security s/w and see if there
is a change.

2. USB network driver - the USB network adaptor has put a lot of code
in the kernel network driver and not a lot in the adaptor so that it can
be updated to handle changes in the 802.11n standards. Anything that
operate at Kernel level (e.g. audio capture) will take away CPU time
from the USB network driver and so affects performance. Test - use
onboard LAN connection and then a "Normal" 802.11g USB and see if
performance is affected.
