Hm, this sounds like several issues. Could you try whether "Settings-iPeng Settings->Forget Last Server" helps?
If SqueezeNetwork only works intermittently, something with iPhone internet connection could be wrong. And if you can only reach your local host through dyndns: could it be you are not connected to the local network but only get access through internet (through the cellular network)?
