I tried opening all permissions on /dev/sg18, but no effect. All
permissions are set back to rw-rw---- at boot-time, as they are on my
other linux systems
Adding ssods to the admin group did not change anything :-(
I also ran 'cdda2wav device=/dev/sg18 -verbose-level=toc -N -g -J 2'
AS ssods user. The same output as before, so the user can access the
device.
Any other options?
Concerning the access control, you're probably right, but this goes
beyond my knowledge of the system. But still, when the owner of the
process is in the admin group, the device and files all should be
accessible
In the log there is one line referring to an error:
Code:

Or is this noncritical?
