Which interface are we talking about ? Web ? Controller ? Classic/Boom

If you edit the XML/SQL manually for the menu, and it's acceptable to
set all tracklistings under a specific menu to not show the extra info,
you can probably experiment with removing the
"<itemformat>track</itemformat" part.
For example, if you have a menu like:

Artists
Artist1
Album1
(track listings without extra info)
Album2
(track listings without extra info)
Artist2
Album3
(track listings without extra info)
Various Artists
Album4
(track listings with the extra information)
--------------------
It would be possible (by editing the XML/SQL) to configure that all
track listings under "Various Artists" should have the extra info but
all track listings under an album directly under Artists/Artistx
shouldn't.
However, if you like the track listings under Album1 to have the extra
information but not the track listings under Album3, it won't work.
