The problem occurred on 3 successive tries. I should have some new material to add to the database in a few days. I'll try the "scan for new" option again and see what happens. I did try to re-run the scan manually on one occasion. The custom scan ran for several hours and seemed to be stuck about 2/3 of the way through the scan. I have my library spread over 3 hard disks and custom scan picked up nothing on the third disk.
