What happens is, because the install.xml file for v5.8.9 of the plugin was not updated to reflect the new version number, it installs v5.8.9 but does not recognize that it has done so because the install.xml file specifies the version to be v5.8.8. If you go into the plugin cache dir (i.e. C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins\Plugins\SuperDateTime) and look in the 'lib' directory, you'll probably see some hint that you have v5.8.9 by checking the timestamp of the file(s) in there. If so, to get rid of the problem, you can edit install.xml in the plugin cache dir (above)..just change 5.8.8 to 5.8.9 and the "updated plugins available" message will go away, and the correct version will show for the plugin.
