ah thanks hoiho and cp , it's all clear now ;) btw, not sure you've seen it, there's a reasonable overview of recipes on the old musicip blog. - http://blog.musicip.com/2008/05/08/mixer-19-preview-new-recipe-options/ with a bit of playing recipes are quite easy and do add a fair bit of fine control over mixes. Such a shame MIP dev looks dead right now
