Perhaps because I don't browse by album? Yes. Your menu probably doesn't mark the track list as playlist or album, which is what is needed for the "play other tracks in Album" feature. You did disable "Play Single Tracks", you said. This is also needed for this to work.
So it looks like you have to use the context menu on the previous level to play the whole selection. This should still work, at least it does so with my menus.
