For your requirements I don't think Softsqueeze is a good startingpoint. * it emulates the old generation of players which have monchrome bit mapped displays. This means your 1920x1080 display will still be limited to 320x32 pixels albeit scaled to 1920x1080 - no color, no cover art.
* Softsqueeze uses Javasound - to alter as you intend would require taking out all Javasound and putting in a custom subsystem - this would rewrite about 50% of the code. * SBS already does upsampling as required - you seem to be re-implementing existing server functionality. With all the suggested changes I think you would end up rewriting 75% of Softsqueeze. I think you would be better off starting with Squeezeplay and using the newer command & control protocol - this would give give colour and higher resolution (e.g. touch has 480x272 but you can define your own screen size) and so use the 1920x1080 display properly and adding a model to SBS which is capable of playing 24/192 - look at Vortexbox mods and Vortexbox player to see how this is done. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=62060 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
