If you are using something which works with the Linux GUI, then I
understand filters can be created in the normal way using the GUI. 
However, if like me you're running headless only, then filters are a
problem.  I've tried several things including copying the default.m3lib
to another machine, creating the filters there, then copying back, but
no luck yet.
