There will be an entry in the server.log file when it's finished.

The performance will be slow if the there are some paths in the backup
file that have changed, in this case TrackStat tries to find the file
at alternative paths by ignoring the top directories and this operation
is really slow in some setups. There is an option in the TrackStat
backup settings page called "Find alternative files" which you can use
to disable this functionality. If I remember correctly it will output
some warnings to the server.log file if it can't find an alternative
path.
