I wan't running headless. I wasn't even 100 % sure what that meant. I now know that it means running without the graphical user interface (GUI) as a service, running in the background. I went to Spicefly's website and tried to follow his directions step by step which helped a lot. Got into some trouble. On windows 7 I have to be logged in as the administrator or the download doesn't work. Previously I was running it as a gui which worked somewhat on my old computer.
I've got the 'M' boxes back. Life is good again. If music Ip mixer stops working, I don't think there is a anything to replace it. That means that I-tunes, etc. or other playlist generators won't regognize a lot of songs in my collection. But for now we're in business.
