If I'm not wrong your NAS (QNAP TS-119?) should have a rather powerful CPU (Marvell 1.2GHz). But still the plugin will be pretty heavy running on SBS 7.5. I could imagine it to fail. Enable debugging for plugin.gallery and check the server.log file, or your device's CPU load (run "top" from a shell). I don't know how this CPU compares to my C3/1GHz. How long does it take to display one single image in the browser?
