Yes, I noticed that, too, but there is an additional precondition. The Rating item is missing -if the song has been added to the library from the Browse Folder menu or the "Tune In" option in the web interface-, and it has never been played since. It does appear after a regular library scan (full or incremental), even for songs with zero plays.
