A cumbersome solution that you can use now: There is a non-free app from Null River for the iPhone/iThing called "Tuner":
http://www.nullriver.com/products/tuner You can create a playlist item in Tuner pointed at: http://squeezeboxserver_ip:9000/stream.mp3 ..and assuming that you have lame installed on your squeezeboxserver machine, it will stream music to your iThing. The cumbersome part is that you'll need to use another device to create the playlist for Tuner, once Tuner is connected...using SBS's web interface.
