Playing this way now, with spotifyd.exe started in a cmd window, and I
can tell you it seems to work *much better* than earlier. I get the
playlists shown correctly as well, all of them. I have tried to abuse
the system by switching FWD and BWD and changing songs etc, and it
works, even the playlists.

The cmd win shows stuff like:
