Just glad to help. :) Just to be clear: I still haven't tested playing music from Spotify on my SqueezeBox since im away on vacation and only could test getting spotifyd running (first through a ssh terminal and then through the SqueezeServer). There might still be something that hickups (when the player tries to read the stream) that we'll have to sort out. If you get it working please let us know. Another tip is maybee also to disable automatic updates of the plugin.
