Dynamic Playlist doesn't work on (as you might expect) my favorite
standard playlist. When this particular 1600 track playlist is picked
from the DPL list, it just stares back at me until it finally just
hangs the controllers. Looking at and listening to the ReadyNAS Duo, I
see it working hard at something - green lights a-blinking, but at the
controller end (Touch and Duet) is a message saying it can't connect to
the ReadyNAS. Reboot and pick a smaller standard playlist under DPL,
say 50 tracks - no problem.

No need to detail the past hours and days spent working through this -
trying to get it working, trying to figure it out - even created a
brand new iTunes playlist of the same songs with a different playlist
name. Let's go to the present: Last night I did a complete clean
reinstall (per Logitech instructions) of all current up-to-date
firmware and SBS.

Once everything was up and running, I logged on the SBS and in the
Plug-In section added Dynamic Playlist and Track Stat and iTunes (+
accepted what was already there). Rebooted SBS and Server. Logged in
again. Set the paths for iTunes, picked playlists I wanted from DPL
and TS. (I'm only using about 4 or 5 DPL and TS playlists + my
standard playlists). All I want is the ability to play my favorite
1600 track playlist quickly without waiting the 10+ minutes for it to
load all 1600 tracks under Standard - that's it! That and the ability
to rate the track.

Rebooted again and watched as the iTunes music library was scanned and
added to SBS. 2 hours later (gasp) all was complete. Everything in
it's place. Went to a controller, picked Dynamic Playlists, picked my
favorite playlist from the list. NOTHING. Hung and timed out (or
something). Rebooted, tried it again and again and again. Nothing,
nada, zip. Hit a different smaller playlist and it's fine and works
almost instantly loading the ten tracks and plays.

What am I missing? Or is it that the ReadyNAS Duo just doesn't have
the "stuff" to run this configuration. My god, it's so painfully slow
and underpowered it seems. Is it possible to have a 1600 track
standard playlist play under Dynamic Playlist on a ReadyNAS Duo? Am I
missing some settings? I'm at my wits end. Any and all help would be
so appreciated. Thank you.
