I too am having trouble getting SlimNAS to start using 0.7.2. It appears to install OK but it cannot start. I haven't delved into permissions or log files. My first thought was to revert to 7.1 because I successfully used 0.7.1 last night on a different computer. I'm still having problems though.
My quick question is: -Does it matter what kind of file system my *slimnas* folder resides on?- I successfully installed SlimNAS/Squeezebox Server on my other computer last night. That computer, an older computer, runs FreeNAS 0.7.1 with a different hard drive. The computer was set up previously to boot from a CF with v. 0.685; it upgraded to 0.7.1 without a hitch. Those shared partitions were UFS-formatted. The only thing I did differently (as far as I remember) is use a disk with NTFS partitions on the new FreeNAS build. The new build is an Atom (64-bit) but that shouldn't matter as long as FreeNAS boots, right? Thanks in advance for any reply. -- Danny8 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Danny8's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=27606 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=80593 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
