As long as you keep the main structure of your music folder, you might
be able to do a TrackStat backup on Windows and open the backup file in
a text editor and a bit of search and replace and restore it on the
Linux machine. I think the difference that needs to be replaced is the
beginning of the paths.

Non ASCII characters like accented characters and similar in the file
names might cause problems, but it might not be big problem if you only
have a few of these.

There is some automatic logic in the restore that might make it work
automatically but I'm not sure it works for Windows to Linux switch and
it's also extremely slow so it can take days in a larger library.

As long as you keep the structure and keep the old installation you
should be able to try and see if a simple backup/restore works
correctly. If you are replacing Windows with Linux on the same machine
so you can't access the old installation I would be a bit more
nervous.

Also, remember that you need to perform a full rescan in Linux before
you start to restore the TrackStat data.

Musicbrainz solve this whole thing beautifully but if you run it on an
already tagged library you need to be aware of that it will change also
the normal tags and not just add the musicbrainz ids.
