Well, on Linux (and probably Mac as well), an eject while playing won't hang the system, but yeah, the music doesn't stop but loops the last second in a pretty noisy way. And you're probably right about Windows (in fact, I never knew how it was possible in Windows to eject a CD with a command). I'm not familiar with the Squeezebox Plugin Api, so I don't know how difficult it is to stop playback and possibly, as you said, clean up playlists (if it wouldn't just skip the track it doesn't find). You're right about the On Demand - I had bad permissions on the drive the first time... However, ExecuteScript does not exist on the web frontend. Since we have a Boom and a Receiver (without Remote), we mostly control with the web frontend through our mobile phones... It is also right that and Eject on Finished option would not necessarily make sense either - maybe we want to listen to a CD twice, without walking to the server and then to the Squeezebox again. So I guess one of these Saturdays I'll have a look into the code and try to find a way to make it useable at least for me (an 'eject' menu entry for Boom and webend triggering a stop playback and eject, since we don't really move around CD tracks in playlists). Until then, well, ExecuteOnStop is a solution that works, but just not elegant enough :-) I will post back here if I find a solution...
