I just changed routers and now Spotify is no longer working on my Squeezebox players. I hadn't used it for about a week, so I don't know whether the breakage was caused by swapping routers or something else.
I'm using Squeezebox Server Version: 7.5.1 - r30836 @ Tue Jun 1 05:57:28 PDT 2010 on Ubuntu server. Spotify shows up on the web interface under Internet Radio. If I try to view playlists, I get the following error message: THERE WAS AN ERROR LOADING THE REMOTE FEED FOR : (CONNECT TIMED OUT: TRANSPORT ENDPOINT IS NOT CONNECTED) If I look at the Spotify settings, it says Helper App: Not Running and there is no password in the password field. Once I enter my password and change the Helper App Logging from whatever it's set to to something else, I get the following: Helper App: Running Not logged in to Spotify Login Error: No error Last Error: No error Thereafter I can actually get the playlists to show up. A quick refresh of the settings reveals one little difference, namely that I am now logged in to Spotify: Helper App: Running Current logged in to Spotify Login Error: No error Last Error: No error But once I click on a playlist and wait for ages, I get this error message: THERE WAS AN ERROR LOADING THE REMOTE FEED FOR : (ERROR READING HEADERS: SERVER CLOSED CONNECTION WITHOUT SENDING ANY DATA BACK AT /USR/SHARE/SQUEEZEBOXSERVER/CPAN/NET/HTTP/METHODS.PM LINE 306. ...PROPAGATED AT /USR/SHARE/SQUEEZEBOXSERVER/CPAN/NET/HTTP/NB.PM LINE 32. ) I'm using the default port number of 9001 for the Spotify plugin. I haven't done any port forwarding on my router. I'm pretty sure I didn't do that on the previous router either, when it worked fine. I just started paying for Spotify Premium and was overjoyed to find it working on the Squeezeboxes, but if I can't fix it, I might as well go back to Spotify Free and the premium service will no longer be of any use. Can anyone help me to get it working please? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plug in from the plugins interface on the browser; it made no difference.
