Hi Triode, I am starting to suspect this is not so much a rights issue as a technical problem at the Spotify end. There a new turn to the discussion I was having with Hobgoblin about the Kurt Elling example (but it pertains to many other playlists): I just discovered that my Android Spotify plugin is displaying the same behaviour as my SB server plugin and Hobgoblin's Windows client: missing tracks from the playlist. I get a message: "This track is not available in your region".
