Recently some work has been done with a new technique to help manage tinnitus. It involves exposure to music which has had the ringing frequencies removed or "notched out". Here is a 'basic article' (http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/05/science/05obhear.html) on the subject and more depth is available by searching online.
I can accomplish this modification on recorded music by applying a 'band stop filter' (http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=26493) effect in Audacity, but a more convenient solution would be a plugin for Squeezebox Server that does the same thing in real time. Does such a thing exist? Is it possible to run an Audacity plugin on SBS? Can the same effect be accomplished using SoX? Thanks. -- Apesbrain ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apesbrain's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=738 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=83691 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
