The player (radio) needs to conenct to port 9001 to stream audio.  It
gets all the other information from squeezebox server on port 9000, so
the fact that your can't stream suggests this is the issue.  As long as
your PC and radio are on the same network (same IP address range?) then
there should be no need for the router to port forward to port 9001 -
you definately don't want to do this for connections from the
internet.

Assuming you have a simple network then I suspect the issue is a
firewall on your PC (if you remove or disable Norton, does windows
firewall kick in?)

Opera won't play the stream as it needs to be controlled by squeezebox
server.  You could try installing Softsqueeze or Squeezeplay on your PC
to prove whether local playback works.
