With SSODS used to have support for WMA transcoding. PlayWMA can be made to work with many QNAP stations but since different models have different processors the difficulty is in finding a version of mplayer built for the appropriate QNAP servers. Some user who had "connection reset by host" have found it related to firewall/proxy/router where the packet stream is not being handled. PC based handling of WMA streams usually ack all packets as they arrive whereas it seems SB player may not ack a packet until it is about to be played, this does not cause problem except sometimes security devices/sw seems to hold onto a packet and so source of data never gets an ack for a sent packet until packet is due to be played which because of large audio buffer exceeds the TCP window timeout and so resets the connection. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=84020 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
