With SSODS used to have support for WMA transcoding.  PlayWMA can be
made to work with many QNAP stations but since different models have
different processors the difficulty is in finding a version of mplayer
built for the appropriate QNAP servers.

Some user who had "connection reset by host" have found it related to
firewall/proxy/router where the packet stream is not being handled. PC
based handling of WMA streams usually ack all packets as they arrive
whereas it seems SB player may not ack a packet until it is about to be
played, this does not cause problem except sometimes security devices/sw
seems to hold onto a packet and so source of data never gets an ack for
a sent packet until packet is due to be played which because of large
audio buffer exceeds the TCP window timeout and so resets the
connection.
