It will run fine on an intel or intel like processor - i.e. a PC so AMD i386 based processors should be fine. If you have 64bit linux, please make sure you install ia32-libs as it is a 32bit application. I say intel only to make it clear that it will not run on arm or sparc based NASs (though given the number of questions I get it seems it is not as clear as I had hoped!)
