If you go to the plugins page and ignore the restart message, can you add: http://triodeplugins.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/testrepo.xml into the additional repository box at the bottom of the page and then press "apply". This should reload the page but may also show the restart dialog - ignore it. Do you then see an entry at the top of the page for updated plugins, or at the bottom for Spotify? If so select and hit apply. Then click ok until it shows the restart message.
