OK. Is your daily scan a complete "Clear & Rescan"? Please don't do that, you lose all status information. And - more importantly - you lose your artwork cache on the server which means your poor NAS has to scale all images again. This hurts performance with iPeng. Plus you don't really need that. There is one exception: adding "folder.jpg" files to an album where nothing else has changed. Here, "touch"ing one file in the album should do the trick.
Or did you change these albums before the last scan was done? What surprises me is that iPeng doesn't detect the rescan. Usually a "clear and rescan" really should not go unnoticed, for an incremental scan it can happen but then only changes should cause problems and even that should not really happen.
