Not really sure how one could do that because it highly depends on your network setup. I can tell you what you need though. 1. You need some way of having a constant address to your dynamicly assigned ip. This can be done by using a service like DynDNS to get a DNS name that gets updated with your DHCP assigned address. This requires you to config your router with the DynDNS account info. 2. You need to config your router to port forward the two ports needed by SBS to your SBS server. Ports 9000 TCP and 3843 TCP (someone double check the 3843 port I always mess that one up) Please note I strongly recommend you NOT do step 2 though because this makes your SBS server open to the world. Which means anyone can not only access your music but also adjust your SBS configuration. You can secure the later slightly by setting up a username and password but this is not encrypted and trivial to sniff out. Other issue is SBS is not really built to be a bullet proof internet facing application, not saying it is sloppy security wise but it is not developed to be internet facing and as such security is not a high priority. So if there is a vulenabilty it is possible an attacker could use it to gain access to your system. So the easiest solution I found for having a secure connection to SBS is to setup a VPN server and have that open to the world and have my iphone connect to the vpn then once that is done it is as if I am on my local network. -- m1abrams ------------------------------------------------------------------------ m1abrams's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=850 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
