Thanks very much.  What baffled me was that I was modifying the 'track'
object, since that is what I understood was being displayed, but even
minor text changes didn't display, even though if I got the SQL wrong I
get error messages.

So it seems that both the trackdata and trackheaderdata sql are parsed,
but only the trackeheader is displayed on the web interface.  I  had no
idea it could be a 'trackheader', even after reading up on the wiki.  

Now I know.  Thanks very much.  I've managed to add disc info (eg 1/3
)after the track, and on the same line, by modifying the original base
sql (of which I have a copy).
