You change the settings in the Custom Scan settings page under Module
settings. There are some more information about retrieved data in the
following wiki page:

Basically, with the bundled scanning modules, you can use it to:
- Get information from LastFM (similar artists, artist images, tags)
- Get rating information from tags in the music files
- Get information from custom tags in the music files
You can change the tags in the music files using a file editor. The
data from LastFM is stored in the database but can't be changed
directly via any user interface.
To view the data, you need the Custom Browse plugin, this plugin makes
it possible to create new browse menu based on the data collected by
the Custom Scan plugin.
Also, it might be worth to note that currently there is a known bug
related to the LastFM similar artists data which results in that it
isn't retrieved, will be corrected in next release of Custom Scan.
