Fincer, To know if all your instructions were necessary, I would have to have understood them --- or do some long, hard testing.
The manual installation of the plugin, I realised was not needed, as I had the right version shown as installed, and could find the files belonging to it. I never would have thought of that parprefs network stuff. I guess Pulse Audio is a monster! All I can say is that, before I read your posts, I was an infinite distance from getting audio played on my PC out of my hifi vi squeezebox --- and now it works. I'm delighted and very grateful: Thank you very much. As in all good awards ceremonies, we have to say, to another round of applause, -without bpa, none of this would have been possible.- Thank you very much too. For the record, this has worked for me with -Ubuntu 10.4 (Studio)- and -Squeezebox Duet-. Just about all the applications Fincer mentioned were installed already; certainly the essential ones. I wouldn't like to say that is the default Ubuntu distribution though, as installing stuff is a bit of a passtime, and studio probably has extra audio stuff thrown in. -- Thad E Ginathom ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Thad E Ginathom's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31287 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49584 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
