Thanks Andrew, I mostly listen to my music library via a Squeezebox Classic which gives me the tree structure 'Genre / Artist / Album / Track', and I'd prefer the DMS to be consistent with that. I think it's a logical approach because if you miss out the 'Artist' level you are presented with a list of album names without any clue as to who the artists are. Also, even if I could remember who each album is by, I've got quite a few albums with generic names like 'Greatest Hits' etc.
I don't know, but I would guess I am fairly typical in wanting to browse by Genre in this way.
