OK I decided to remove and reinstall the Superdate plugin and then
follow your instructions. I had to manually delete the SuperDate plugin
folder before Squeezecenter would work again.
I found the par files in
/home/david/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/SuperDateTime/lib
and renamed the old par file and put your zip folder in and then removed
the .zip extension. I rebooted the computer but I am still getting a
date time screen and that's all. ....I then found I had the par file in
this directory also
/var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/SuperDateTime/lib
so I renamed that par file and then put the par file you supplied in
there (removing the extension) and rebooted the computer. Still no luck
and I feel I am at the point of making changes I will not be able to
keep track of so I am giving up.I appreciate your help but perhaps I
will just wait until there is a new version of the plugin that may
resolve the matter.
