Sometimes its greyed out when its scanning. Try waiting for it to finish and then go into the menus and try to select it. Failing that just select all your music files in the gui window and right click and select "Archive Analysis modifies file" (or something like that) and it will punch it into the files.
Also Right Click in the left window where it has Library and select new filter, and select Match All conditions; Stored Analysis... is missing... This will then create a filter view that will show files that dont have the analysis saved within them, which you may find helpful.
