Success!!! But only pressing the system restore button. I have a new beginning and the first thing I did was install SBS. I was getting all sorts of odd freezes and crashes and gave up. I am wondering if it was because I uninstalled the supplied anti-virus software and installed another. Fingers crossed when I do it again. My bank gives me a free anti virus licence. I may try that.
