Triode,

The cause for the non-HTTP error on menuadv.opml is specificially due
to faulty handling of Norwegian letters in custom-strings.txt:

PLUGIN_SPOTIFY_SEARCH_ARTISTS
NO    Søk i artister            //Server reports non-HTTP error
NO    Sok i artister            //Everything works perfectly okay

Who's to blame?
The plugin creating menuadv.opml or the standard server software
reading it?
