The spotify plugin does the decoding on the server and streams as flac
or uncompressed to the player.  This means your network needs to be
able to copy with flac or wav streaming.  I suspect your wifi network
does not have the bandwidth for this.  As this is a boom, how about
moving it to closer to the wifi router and checking if it improves it?
