The idea's good but at the moment BBC just doesn't make it easy. The video and audio recording don't seem to follow Iplayer structure so a different plugin something like the YouTube one would have to be developed. I think it is strange they have found the need to create a different archive to iPlayer especially as the Archive links to R3 and R4 collections which are iPlayer based. Some of the site has RSS feeds (e.g. People, Subject) which would be useful as a feed for a plugin but RSS is only available at a low level but content of RSS feed doesn't match always what is actually available. For example The People entry for Henry Moore RSS feed is http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/people/66/41_rss.xml but only has two programs about Henry Moore The Subject Sculpture feed RSS http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/keywords/69/4_rss.xml has only one program and it is about Henry Moore The Henry Moore Collection page http://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/henrymoore/ has no RSS feed but 17 programs. The BBC really needs to get the archive properly catalogued - it looks like there isn't a proper database or tagging system underpinning it. Give some feedback back to BBC - especially about a computer friendly interface such as RSS and not just a web page. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=91379 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
