Hi Folks,

Not sure if this is the best topic for my question, because my question
is related to Wake-On-Lan, and Wake-On-Lan is not related with the
SvrPowerControl plugin, but the functionality is related to the topic
somehow.

So I was experimenting with the shutdown and wakeup functionality
remotely from the Squeezebox.

The player is Squeezebox Classic.
The PC is running Windows XP, and currently running Logitech Media
Server 7.7.0.

The Shutdown is working fully properly with this SvrPowerControl
plugin, there is no problem with it.

The Wake-On-Lan, however works too much well! I set the BIOS settings
and enabled WOL in the NIC driver. The Wake-On-Lan works.
However the problem is that Squeezebox is always searching for the
Server when cannot reach it, so Squeezebox basicly continuously sending
the WOL packets. As a result, the PC wakes even if I don't want to.

As soon as I shutdown the PC, the PC immediately wakes up, because as
soon as the PC was shutdown, the Squeezebox begins to search the
server, so sends a packet. Basicly it's not possible to shutdown the
PC.

Why does Squeezebox sends WOL packets continuosly? It should only send
when it is instructed so. Can this be disabled somehow?

Thanks in advance.
