Hi, Version 2.8.3 of iTunes Update is working fine for me on OS X 10.5.8 and with iTunes 7.7.1 (I don't use any of the newer iTunes features on my PPC mini so haven't updated it for years).
I didn't need to make any changes to it when upgrading from 7.6.* to LMS 7.7.* and so have left it alone.
