Hi All, Struggled with the Triode plugin for a while. Tried disabling Windows Firewall and also AVG virus scan, with no effect. I am running Windows XP service pack 3 and the LMS 7.7.0.
Tonight on a whim I started poking around the Windows My Computer settings. My Computer ->Properties Advanced tab, select Performance Settings Performance Options ->Data Execution Prevention tab There are two options. Mine was set to turn on DEP for *all* programs and services, with an exception for Windows Explorer. I selected the other option to turn DEP on only for essential Windows programs and services. After a restart I was able to install the Triode Spotify plugin without the WININET.DLL error. I did get a prompt from AVG about Spotifyd.exe being a possible security threat, which I simply allowed. I'm currently listening to Spotify on my duet receiver and happy as a clam! Interested to hear if this solves the problem for other users. Hope it helps! -- seymour_g ------------------------------------------------------------------------ seymour_g's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=51586 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=79706 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
