The listen again streams are better described as 'AAC delivered by
Flash'.

In your earlier post, you said: "the mp3 ones play fine as do other aac
streams (e.g. iplayer)"

Question: Were those BBC iPlayer aac streams 'AAC delivered by HTTP' or
'AAC delivered by Flash' ?

You might try testing this by visiting the BBC iPlayer plugin settings
page and setting the 'On Demand Stream Preference' to 'FlashAAC > WMA',
and 'Apply'. Then play a BBC listen again item. The purpose here is to
try to ensure that you are comparing like with like.

Before playing a stream, it might be helpful to set the logging level
of the BBC iPlayer RTMP component to 'Info':
Server Settings|Advanced|Choose Logging from the drop down, &
set: (plugin.bbciplayer.rtmp) - BBC iPlayer. Then 'Apply'.

This might give you a little more visibility on what is going on. Pay
attention to the checkbox 'Save logging settings for use at next
application restart' if you restart the server.

That stream (after removing the extraneous spaces put in by the forum)
plays fine here.

In your earlier post you said: "I was tinkering last night". In my
language usage that terminology can cover anything from wiping the
operating system from the hard drive to fiddling around with
spreadsheet display format. Is there anything that you did that stikes
you as relevant ?

Be aware that the ClassicFM plugin does not actually set about playing
a stream, it simply prepares a stream URL (e.g. rtmp://.....) and
passes it to the system for playback. From the sound of it, you seem to
be having some troubles with Flash (rtmp) streams.
